Happy belated Easter everyone, It seems an age ago now but in reality, only a few weeks.
More importantly let’s all stand up and welcome the sun! I cannot tell you how happy I feel when I have proper -with warmth – sun on my face. It really makes Steph a happier florist. We just need to encourage the sun back out again now…
Did you know, alongside the flowers, I also weave willow? These products are gradually being incorporated into the Floral Rebellion remit, and so far they have proved popular. Do you remember I hid some lonely hearts in the local villages; West Dean, Lockerley, Tytherley and Winterslow? From there, things went with a BANG on the run up to Easter. I am delighted with the number of orders I have had for my “not the mutts nuts but certainly the bird’s balls” bird feeders! Customers were commissioning me to make them either with a posy of flowers popped in the top (something for now, something for keeps) or with chocolate eggs as a treat for both the family and the wildlife. I love the fact that they are useful, biodegradable and made using English Willow. There is certainly opportunity to order yours, so please do get in touch if you would like me to make one for you too.
I am taking the long weekend off and sharing some time with loved ones out and about. A little jolly along the Kennet and Avon, then out onto the Thames for a stop, relax and reset. My happy place is to be far from the madding crowd, and a couple of evenings where company is just those that I choose to keep close and Mother Nature, really does do me the world of good.
What are your plans for the bank holiday weekend? x
