March reminds me of a route I used to drive to get to a previous job. It was a pretty run through the Woodford Valley across to Wylye Valley. There is a steep hillside where I was lucky enough to witness the annual antics of the March hares, chasing and boxing across the fields, and of course the spring lambs dashing about. All signs of better weather to come.
I have been happily spinning stems into Mother’s day bouquets both at Floral Rebellion HQ, but also at Heathercroft Meadow Flower Farm. I like working with Jess, she brings custard creams! So I have been surrounded by fabulous spring blooms and their beautiful scent.
Coming up we have Easter, which will be (of course) a riot of nature. I hope by then I can assure you that the mud is receding and there is more sun than rain!
