Mother’s Day Marauding

Mother’s Day Marauding

Happy Mother’s Day to all you fabulous female folk out there. I firmly believe that Mother’s Day is not only about Mothers, but should also include all those NOT Mothers out there who bring positivity, love, support, encouragement and kindness to your life. We all have NOT Mothers and it is important to celebrate them too. So, go on, tell them you love them, it really is a nice thing to do.

We celebrated Mothers and NOT Mothers with a Floral Rebellion Living Wreath Making Workshop at the fabulous West Dean Social Club. If I have not harped on about it enough already, you must drop in there, it’s such a fab venue and Sonya’s cakes really are the mutts nuts. I was joined by a lovely group of gorgeous women who got stuck in, had a laugh and each made something individual and beautiful to take home. We chatted through some ideas I have for further workshops, and am pleased to hear that the Social Club would like to have us back. Keep your eyes and ears open for future dates.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday I was out and about delivering Mother’s Day bouquets of flowers and gifts to lots of lovely people from all across Salisbury and the surrounding villages. Some florists find this part of the job a stress and subcontract it out as soon as they can, but for me it is an absolute joy because I get to see so many lovely people. As you know, community is really important to me and it wouldn’t be the same if it was not me delivering my products. AND just because I was excited about the sunshine and finally feeling warm again after the winter, I hid some lonely hearts for people to find in Lockerley, Tytherley, Winterslow and Dean. I love hearing where they end up and the stories behind how/where they are found.

Next up, it’s Easter.

See you then. x
