Rebellion Roving

Rebellion Roving

Ahhhh the heat. Sorry to those folks who struggle in the sun but this lizard is just in heaven!

I am thoroughly enjoying using British blooms locally farmed at the moment, this time of year has so much to offer! Shopping locally and seasonally is not only good for the environment, as they are not flown here from suppliers across the globe, but it is good for the stems too. They have not had to have an extended journey out of water, they have not travelled for days to get to you. They have been cut from the field just a few short miles from Floral Rebellion HQ, they have gone straight into water, then they come to you beautifully arranged by my grubby little mitts. I use florist choice flowers, not to take the selection away from you dear client, but to ensure you get the stems that are at their best at the time of order. Take a look at my social media to see what blooms I have been using lately.

As you know from my last Rebellion blog, Floral Rebellion had an outing to Codford Artisan Market. Such a brilliant market really celebrating local producers. I met up with some familiar faces, and made some new friends. I had a blast. We also had a jolly out to the Floating Fayre in Bath, it was an absolute pleasure meeting up with other boaters and chatting about trading from the canal, so much encouragement and friendly advice, thank you all! We certainly have lots of ideas bubbling in the background, keep your eyes peeled for updates.

I will be taking some time away in the next few weeks. We are untying and heading out from the Kennet and Avon and on the Thames for a well-earned break. Building your own business and being self-employed is a way of life and can be all consuming, and I love it, but we all need time for ourselves and those that we hold dear.

Catch you on the other side, with news of a very special wedding that I will be supplying flowers for in the early days of September.
