It was my 40th birthday so I took the week off and Mother Nature was kind to me, the weather was stunning, just for that week! I am very lucky to have family that I can call friends and friends that I can call family, I was jollied along through the whole week and was left feeling so blessed to have so many fabulous people around me.
I am thrilled to be working so regularly alongside the ladies at Heathercroft Meadow Flower Farm. Spending time in the field learning about the flowers as they grow is really developing my understanding of the products I use as a florist. I am now confidently moving towards using more British blooms in my work, it is better for the environment, better for the wildlife and better for the stems, not only have they not travelled so far but they are in season so looking at their very best. My time at the farm also brings many bee photo opportunities, my Instagram profile is beginning to look like a “Where’s Wally” book!
Looking ahead, Summer please Mother Nature. Enough with the rain. I am ready for some more adventures and would rather they were bathed in sunshine.
