Well May, you were a bit of a let down! The weather hasn’t exactly been something to shout about, has it?! We are certainly not gifted with the beautiful balmy weather we had this time last year. May 2020 I was working on my tan… this year I have been re-installing the extra blankets!
Mother Nature is really starting to zing though. The leaves are all zesty green on the trees surrounding Floral Rebellion HQ, I’m waking up to the songbirds in the morning and the beauty of the countryside surrounding me makes my heart sing every day. The annual bluebell photo shoot has taken place with Floral Rebellion Dog and I feel ready for the summer now…
I have weddings on the brain this month. I understand weddings are expensive affairs, and juggling numbers is an important factor, however, If you are getting married I cannot emphasis enough how much more important it is to check the florist’s style suits your own. You need your florist to understand and love your ideas as much as you do! If they specialise in formal or luxurious designs filled with exotic blooms, their arrangements are simply not going to sit well with an outdoor, festival themed, relaxed do! With that in mind, I have been on a very exciting venue recce with a couple who are getting married later in the year. I was beside myself when they said, “so the general theme is country, wildlife, nature… oh, and can we use Ian?” All of the Yes! Ian isn’t going to know what to do with himself, what with lockdown he hasn’t had a jolly for ages! Keep your eyes peeled for piccys later in the year, he will insist on making an appearance in all the key shots of the day!
Looking ahead, weddings, weddings…oh and my birthday! So I am taking a week off!
Catch you on the other side. Steph x
