My favourite time of year

My favourite time of year

Hurray, the sun has shone and made Steph one happy florist and willow weaver! I appreciate it is not everyone's idea of heaven, but please just let me have my moment. It makes me feel relaxed and content, you can have your moment in the winter when I am miserable!

Things have been humming away in the background here. I have recently met with the lovely lot at Oaktrack Smallholding, at Charlton Down near Andover. We have a number of Workshops starting in September that will take us right through to Christmas. I am also looking at the possibility of another regular venue that is just outside Salisbury.  All going well that will be two regular venues for teaching workshops, one in Hampshire, one in Wiltshire. Sounds like a win to me.

There will be some workshops that I have taught before, like the Willow Christmas Decorations, and Christmas Wreaths, but there will also be some new additions like a 3 day introduction to basket weaving that I am very excited about. So many of my past students have wanted to go on from a beginner workshop like the bird feeders, it is going to be nice to see them progress. The course is designed to learn new techniques each week and by the third week make a beautiful asymmetric basket with a wooden handle.

All this talk about Christmas seems mad in the heat of the summer but to bring a bit of balance, I am also looking to extend the website so that not only can you purchase your workshop spaces, you will be able to buy my willow products online too. Obviously, tinkering with the website is not my area of expertise so that is best left to someone who can actually do it! I will keep you posted.

in the meantime, you know where I am, ping me a message or give me a bell 07410898560 and we can chat about all things flower and willow.

Steph x
