New year, new skills

New year, new skills

Hello dear friends, how are you all? I tend to take a while to myself at the start of the year. It gives me a chance to calm down after the run up to Christmas with wreaths, workshops and gift bouquets a plenty, but also lets me get most of the worst month of the year done. I am not a lover of January for many reasons, mostly of course, because of the bloody awful weather. I need not bore you with my feelings on the floods, followed by the ice that we have had on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Roll on summer, and that cocktail in a coconut shell.

I spent some time last year doing learning. I learned how to make new willowy type things and I am also on an ongoing course learning green wood working kinda things. I do enjoy learning as an adult, and learning with adults. The environment suits me better, it is less competitive and more nurturing. You find you are amongst likeminded folk. Folk who want you to do well and celebrate your achievements.

My time away from the running around and doing of the things has allowed me time to focus on new working relationships, and plot more workshops. You lot shouted and I listened, willow workshops are coming this year! Venues in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Berkshire. Get me. I have been busy. Keep an eye on social media. Dates will be announced soon.

In the meantime. Keep warm you lot. It’s grim out there.

Lots of love,

Steph x
