I try to hide it with lots of positivity about looking ahead in the business, but I am going to share with you what it is really like in the background.
By nature I am the sort of person who thrives on spur of the moment, last minute, no plans. Needing to schedule stuff months in advance does not come easily. I fight it, I avoid it, I get anxious about it, because what if something comes up and I can't fulfil my obligations? But it needs to be done so that I have opportunities to attend markets and teach. If I don't let people know what is going on then they are not able to take part. So, while writhing with discomfort, I have been putting in applications to Christmas Markets in August (!) and planning workshops right through to the beginning of December. I previously wrote to you about the 3 day Introduction to Basket Weaving course, there is still time to book if you are interested. 5th, 12th and 19thSeptember 9:30am-4:30pm. I have plans for Wreath making, Willow Christmas decorations, Stars, hearts and lots more. Keep an eye on the website in September.
Market wise, I am excited to be joining my fabulous friend Katie, the owner of Cotton Lily and organisational wizard behind The Creative Makers Market, in the new venue in Bradford On Avon in October. I will be making my debut at the Hawk Conservancy Christmas Market, and hopeful that my application will be accepted to the Sunday Festive Market in Salisbury again this year. If you have any other Market suggestions, I would be grateful if you could send them over to me. Getting out there and having a natter with people is something I really enjoy.
