You know, my good friends, that the summer solstice makes me sad. While everyone is celebrating the longest day, I am worrying about the nights drawing in and the dawn taking longer to break. The next thing to make me sad, is September. Despite my age, it still brings a sense of anxiety, the back to school blues. It seems worse this year, I think the summer took so long to get going, I feel robbed that the dreaded Autumn is looming.
All of that being said though, the weather was very kind to us this year on our jolly along the Kennet and Avon Canal to attend the summer Floating Fayre, this year at The Barge Inn, Honeystreet. We were spoilt with a fabulous mooring, we could see the White Horse from our stall, and so delighted that Floral Rebellion friends came to spend the day and enjoy the music, crafts and food. Thank you all for coming along, you know who you are you lovely lot, and I love you all.
As you are reading this, you have obviously admired the new website, thanks so much to Tess Tidmarsh who is possibly the most patient human I have ever met. She has a special skill set given she guided me thorough the process of designing a new website. I am thrilled with it. Most importantly for you dear reader, is that you can now book your places on a workshop through the website and I have a whole host of new dates for you. We are kicking of the Autumn term at the beautiful Oaktrack Smallholding at Charlton Down, near Andover. We have willow obelisks and birdfeeders first up, so if you hoping to join us, hop over to the workshop page and bag your spot.
lots of love,
Steph x
